The evolution of minimally invasive surgery has also impacted on transanal surgery. Semi-flexible transanal platforms have been developed and replaced the more rigid transanal platforms gradually. There is an increasing need for training, both in the establishment of TAMIS for the treatment of intra-luminal disease and as a stepping stone to minimally invasive transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME).
This course aims to give a combination of theoretical background and hands-on experience. It serves as a primer for young enthusiasts willing to master the TAMIS-technique.
The BGES TAMIS course will take place on Friday December 21, 2018.
It’s a 1-day course organized in Applied headquarters in Amersfoort (Wiekenweg 21, 3815 Amersfoort, The Netherlands).
Surgical residents (5th and 6th years) and young fellows are invited to apply. (Registration via email to email@example.com or via internet)
The course is limited to 16 participants to maximize the hands-on experience.(First paid First serve basis)
The registration will be taken on “First paid First serve!” basis, meaning the first sixteen to sign-up & pay, will be included in class.
