2nd TaTME cadaver workshop – UZGHENT

From the 9 Nov 2017
to the 10 Nov 2017

Surgical treatment for low rectal cancer is challenging. Because of the potential advantages, minimally invasive transanal TME is being increasingly implemented in several large volume centres across Europe.

This course is intended to provide practical and theoretical background on this challenging surgical technique, through didactic lectures and explanatory videos. A faculty of experts will guide you through the advantages and pitfalls of this demanding surgical procedure and they will give you tips and tricks on how to introduce this procedure in your daily practice. Finally the hands on training in human cadavers will offer you the opportunity to “rehearse” this approach. The course is open to 10 dedicated experienced laparoscopic colorectal surgeons. We encourage surgeons to sign up in teams. Each surgeon can bring 2 additional members of his theatre staff (nurse and/or resident). A series of lectures will be presented specifically for the theatre staff and they can join as a spectator in the practical sessions.

Since availability is limited, subscribers will be selected on a first come, first serve basis.

Thank you for your understanding.
